Health change in schools

The schools in the US are changing their menus to 'heathy food'. But is it really effective?
Personally I've stoped buying school lunches but when I did I usually went home and pigged out on junk food. I don't think this health change is worth it. It costs more and we get less food. Also It doesn't make us healthier it made me feel really bloated.
Our school lunch system isn't really working and just costs more money so I think they need to take a new approach such as actually taking the time to find out a more healthy balanced lunch as well as giving a proper PE education.

  1. I agree, I also will eat the lunch offered at our school and then I will go home and eat the food that I want. I can see where the school wants to try to make us all healthier but it doesn’t help when we all go back home and eat the foods that we can't in school. And the costs of the lunches are way too expensive for what we get. I think that if we are to pay what we pay I could go get lunch for $2.20 off the dollar menu at McDonalds. Yes, it is unhealthy but it is what I would like to eat. To become healthy the students must want to do it on their own. If someone forces you to do it you probably won't. And if we eat unhealthy once in a while but go and follow an exercise routine I think its ok.
